Carnival Splendor's 10-night New Zealand cruise left Sydney on Monday 12 Oct 2026 and still returns on Thursday 22 Oct. Napier on Friday 16 Oct is cancelled. Captain Mario Imbimbo's notice on 13 Oct cites a weather system forecast to bring unfavorable conditions to Napier. Cruise Hive, Calvin Musquez, 14 Oct, prints the new clocks. Tauranga moves to 16 Oct, 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., an 11.5-hour call. Auckland arrives at 8:00 a.m. on 17 Oct and stays overnight until 6:30 p.m. on 18 Oct, 34.5 hours against an original call of 10 hours and 15 minutes. Bay of Islands stays 19 Oct, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Carnival-booked Napier tours refund to Sail & Sign. Tauranga and Auckland tours are adjusted. The reports do not print a fare refund or a flat onboard credit. Cruise Hive's reading of a MetService forecast for 16 Oct is swells rising to 4 meters and gusts up to 46 mph. That forecast is not in the captain's notice. NZ Herald confirms the season's first Napier call was cancelled for weather and does not print these clocks. DeepArrival's check of the port schedule on 15 Oct did not show Splendor on 16 Oct.

Carnival said on 15 Oct 2026 that Carnival Luminosa and Carnival Adventure leave Australia in March 2028. Luminosa's final voyage leaves Sydney on 15 March 2028. Adventure leaves Sydney on 20 March 2028 and will not return to Australia as first planned. Carnival Splendor keeps sailing year-round from Sydney. Carnival Encounter keeps sailing year-round from Brisbane. Cruise Industry News says Adventure repositions to North America and that Luminosa's next itineraries were not revealed. Travel Weekly says a February plan had Adventure in North America for the northern summer from April 2028 while still returning to Australia seasonally. That Australia return is now cancelled. Peter Little called the federal coastal-cruising extension through the end of 2028 a welcome interim step. The 2028/29 program on Splendor and Encounter is due in the coming weeks. No fare refund is announced. Seattle dates opened for Adventure on 1 Oct are a separate post. This announcement does not say those dates are withdrawn.

Royal Caribbean Blog, Elizabeth Wright, updated 15 Oct 2026, reports emails to guests on two transatlantic cruises. Face-to-face immigration in the terminal comes after check-in and before boarding, for every guest, because of the EU Entry/Exit System. The email says waits may exceed 90 minutes. Arrive in the pre-selected window. Odyssey of the Seas leaves Civitavecchia on 25 Oct 2026 for a 14-night cruise that the blog lists through La Spezia, Barcelona, Cartagena, Lisbon, and Ponta Delgada, arriving in what the blog calls Cape Bayonne, New Jersey. Explorer of the Seas leaves Barcelona on 31 Oct for 13 nights. The blog cites CruiseMapper for Palma de Mallorca, Cartagena, Ponta Delgada, and King's Wharf, Bermuda, with Port Canaveral on 13 Nov. The blog says a passport book, not a card, must be valid at least six months after the cruise ends. If a passport was replaced after an ESTA approval, the email says you must apply again. ETIAS is not required now. The blog does not expect it before 2027. No Royal Caribbean newsroom post for the email was found.

If you are on Splendor, use the Tauranga and Auckland clocks and watch Sail & Sign. If you wanted Luminosa or Adventure in Australia after March 2028, plan on Splendor or Encounter. If you board Odyssey on 25 Oct or Explorer on 31 Oct, arrive in your window with a passport book.
