The short answerWe do not invent experience. Every factual claim names its source and its date. News is about what changes for a booked guest. Matthew merges what publishes.

No invented experience

We do not invent sailings, ship counts, prices, or time aboard. A presenter page names a line only when that sailing claim is already true. Experience shared by both presenters is written as shared. Bylines use the first name already on the site: Matthew or Marlee.

Named sources and dates

Every factual claim traces to a named source with a date. Tier 1 is the cruise line speaking for itself: a newsroom post, a benefit grid, an earnings release, an SEC filing. Tier 2 is an established cruise-news outlet. The source list sits at the bottom of the page. The method is on how we source.

Where a claim carries real weight and we could only find one outlet for it, the page says so. If a number cannot be verified, it stays out.

News is about the guest

A news post is for the person with a booking. It says what changes for you: the port, the refund, the fee, the time alongside. A story that does not change the trip does not run.

Conflict holds

When two named sources disagree on a fact the story depends on, we hold the post. It stays unpublished until Matthew decides which account runs. A held draft is not a published story.

Who publishes

Automated agents and other contributors open pull requests. Matthew reviews them. A page goes live when Matthew merges it.

Corrections

When a figure we published goes stale, we update the page and say what changed, with the date. The check date stays on the page. Send a correction to portholesandpixiedust@gmail.com. Name the page, the claim, and the source you have.
