Independence of the Seas stayed at Cape Liberty overnight on Sep. 26 after Captain Tor Olsen said harbor pilots were suspended until at least 10am Sunday. The working plan is a noon sail on Sep. 27 toward Bermuda. The Monday overnight becomes a Tuesday day call. Deep Arrival still lists a Thursday Oct. 1 arrival at 7am. Neither source published a compensation dollar amount. Royal-booked tours for the dropped overnight should show as onboard credit once the app updates. Brilliant Lady's Sep. 26 Los Angeles sailing dropped Cabo San Lucas on Sep. 28, Mazatlán on Sep. 29, and Puerto Vallarta on Sep. 30 because of Hurricane Polo. VV Insider's schedule calls San Francisco on Sep. 28 from 8am to 8pm, San Diego on Sep. 30 from 8am to 6pm, Catalina Island on Oct. 1 from 8am to 6pm by tender, and Ensenada on Oct. 2 from 8am to 5pm. The ship returns to Los Angeles at 6:30am on Oct. 3. Shore Things for the removed ports refund to the original payment. Celebrity's Concierge Class page, checked Sep. 28, lists two complimentary water bottles on embarkation day and room service with the delivery fee waived. A 20 percent gratuity may still apply. Daily delectable delights is absent from that list. Cruise Hive dates the change to sailings that depart after Sep. 21 and puts the waived delivery fee at $9.95 per order.
