Princess put three ships on a 2028-29 Australia and New Zealand season and opened a 129-night world cruise from Australia for 2029. The Princess release, Fort Lauderdale, 27 Oct 2026 at 20:00 ET, says every one of those voyages goes on sale 10 Nov 2026. Cruise Industry News on 28 Oct follows that date. Seatrade Cruise News, Helen Hutcheon, and Travel Weekly Australia, both 28 Oct, say 11 Nov.

The photo on this page is the season image on the Princess release. The page does not name a ship or a photographer. This post does not treat the frame as a picture of a named sailing.

The season

Grand Princess, Emerald Princess, and Royal Princess sail it. The release says voyages run from two nights to 46 nights.

The release also lists 42 destinations in six countries, 10 UNESCO World Heritage sites on the regional season, and 11 More Ashore calls, meaning late nights and overnights. Travel Weekly Australia prints the same 11 extended calls and names the Kimberley Coast, Tasmania, and Fiordland. The release names Phillip Island, Kangaroo Island, the Kimberley Coast, Fiordland, and the South Pacific as standout places. It does not print a day-by-day schedule.

Seatrade says the program builds on Melbourne homeporting. The release says renewed homeporting opportunities in Melbourne. Those are the same port, in different words.

Travel Weekly Australia adds one line about another Carnival Corporation brand. It says Carnival Cruise Line is preparing to withdraw Carnival Adventure and Carnival Luminosa in March 2028. That withdrawal is already a separate post: Carnival Luminosa and Adventure leave Australia in March 2028. This note does not restate it.

The world cruise

Grand Princess sails the 2029 Grand World Odyssey. Every source here calls it 129 nights, about 37,300 nautical miles, and 61 destinations in 31 countries. The release and Seatrade both say five continents. The release calls it the longest world cruise ever offered roundtrip from Australia.

The release also names New York City, Miami, Reykjavik, Lisbon, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Tahiti, and Auckland, scenic cruising near Easter Island and Pitcairn Island, and two crossings each of the equator and the International Date Line. Scenic cruising is the release’s wording. It does not say the ship docks at Easter Island or Pitcairn. Cruise Industry News repeats that list. Travel Weekly Australia names the city calls and does not print Tahiti, Auckland, Easter Island, or Pitcairn.

Jim Berra, chief commercial officer, is the quote in the US release and in Cruise Industry News. Matthew Rutherford, vice president Asia Pacific, is the quote in Seatrade and Travel Weekly Australia. The US release does not print Rutherford. The Australian articles do not print Berra.

What the bonus is, and whose bonus

The voyages are not on sale on the morning of this post. The offer you get depends on which announcement you are reading.

Do not add the US dollars to the Australian dollars. The release never says the $500 figures are Australian dollars, and Travel Weekly Australia never prints the $500 figures. Seatrade’s half-priced deposit is not the same sentence as the release’s $100 deposit. No page here says what the full deposit was before the cut.

The US release says you can book through a travel advisor, at 1-800-774-6237, or at princess.com. It does not print an Australia phone number.

What this means if you want one of these cruises

You cannot book this season today from the dates in these four articles. The US release and Cruise Industry News say 10 Nov 2026. Seatrade and Travel Weekly Australia say 11 Nov 2026. If you are booking in the United States, read the 10 Nov date and the uncoded dollar amounts. If you are booking in Australia, read the 11 Nov date and the AU$ amounts, and read the world-cruise bonus through 31 Aug 2027 only in Travel Weekly Australia.

The round-Australia count is not settled. The release says 17 voyages. Seatrade says three voyages of 29 to 32 nights. Travel Weekly Australia says three voyages and 14 departure options. This post does not turn those into one number.

If the world cruise is the product you want, the shared facts are Grand Princess, 129 nights, about 37,300 nautical miles, and 61 destinations in 31 countries. Start cities beyond Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Dover are in Travel Weekly Australia only. The Americas 2028-29 opening is a different post: Princess opens 2028-29 Americas bookings, with the Amazon back.
