Grand Princess cancels the 2 Oct Cabo call for Rachel

Princess cancelled the Cabo San Lucas call on Grand Princess’s 25 Sep 2026 Los Angeles cruise. Cruise Hive, dated 1 Oct 2026, says that call had already moved to 2 Oct during the Hurricane Polo revision. The new cut drops 2 Oct Cabo because of Hurricane Rachel. The same update does not publish a new refund, a future cruise credit, or onboard credit for this cancellation. This page uses that one Cruise Hive report for the Rachel change. The article does not link a Princess newsroom post.
If this is your sailing, clear Cabo on 2 Oct. Wait for a new Princess note before you budget a new dollar figure.
What Polo already changed
Cruise Hive says Grand Princess is on a 10-night itinerary that left Los Angeles on 25 Sep. The Polo revision had already cancelled three calls. La Paz was 29 Sep. Guaymas was 30 Sep. Puerto Vallarta was 2 Oct.
Cruise Hive also says Princess shifted Cabo San Lucas from 27 Sep to 2 Oct as part of that Polo revision. Princess then cancelled that 2 Oct call for Hurricane Rachel.
Puerto Vallarta on 2 Oct was already off in this recap. The new loss on that date is Cabo.
The Polo post on this site uses coverage from 26 Sep. That coverage describes a shorter Cabo stay, a San Diego overnight, and an added Mazatlán call. It also covers the credit offer in the Polo letter. Cruise Hive’s 1 Oct article is the source here for the move of Cabo onto 2 Oct, and for the cancellation of that call. Read both pages for your own letter. This page follows the 1 Oct account of what Rachel removed.
What the Rachel update leaves out
Cruise Hive does not name a port that replaces Cabo. It does not print a new clock. It does not say the ship gained a sea day by that name.
The 1 Oct update does not publish a new compensation figure. It does not name a fare refund, a future cruise credit, or a new onboard credit for dropping Cabo. The Polo post is where the earlier letter’s offer sits. Use a dollar figure for this Cabo cut when your booking note states one.
The article is also silent on a Princess tour refund for Cabo. Open the app if you bought the tour from Princess. Call the operator if you bought it somewhere else.
Cruise Hive’s 1 Oct Grand Princess section leaves San Diego and Mazatlán off the new cut list. Keep those calls until a newer letter removes them.
What you should do
If you are on the 25 Sep 2026 Los Angeles Grand Princess cruise, open the Princess app. Drop Cabo San Lucas on 2 Oct if the day list still shows it. Leave Puerto Vallarta, La Paz, and Guaymas off the plan. They were already gone in the Polo revision Cruise Hive recaps. Ask guest services what, if anything, the line is adding for this Cabo cut. The 1 Oct report does not answer that. Facts above follow Cruise Hive, dated 1 Oct 2026.
This sailing is on the Hurricane Rachel cruise tracker.
