The short answerDisney Believe's first of three gigablocks floated out of Meyer Werft Hall 6 in Papenburg. Cruise Hive and the Disney Cruise Line Blog reported the midship section, including the Grand Hall structure, on 19 Sep 2026. Forward and aft blocks come next. Disney still lists a late calendar 2027 debut with no homeport or itineraries published.

Disney Believe now has steel in the water as a joined midship block. Cruise Hive and the Disney Cruise Line Blog both reported on 19 Sep 2026 that the first gigablock floated out of Meyer Werft’s Hall 6 in Papenburg, Germany.

What floated

This block is the ship’s midship. Cruise Hive says it includes the Grand Hall space and adjacent areas. Gigablocks arrive with walls, plumbing, and wiring already in. Finishes such as paint, carpet, and art come later. Each block can weigh more than 31,000 tons, per that same report.

The Disney Cruise Line Blog adds that Believe is the first Disney ship since Wish built with this center-first gigablock method. Forward comes next, then aft. Once all three are ready, the yard welds them together.

What that means for a 2027 booking

Disney has not published a maiden date, homeport, or first-year itineraries. Cruise Hive notes Disney’s August 2026 fleet timeline still shows Believe as “late calendar 2027.” Treat float-out as construction progress, not a sales calendar.

Cruise Hive also restates Disney’s August 2026 note that the Grand Hall bronze will be Moana with Pua and Heihei. Rotational dining themes for Believe are still unannounced. Sister Wish-class ships keep Worlds of Marvel and 1923, with a third restaurant that changes by ship.

How to read the milestone

If you are waiting to book a first-season Believe cruise, you still need homeport, length, and opening fares. Those are not in the 19 Sep reports. The useful signal is that midship structure cleared Hall 6 on the path Disney already set for a late 2027 handoff.

What you should do

Hold deposit money until Disney publishes Believe deployment. Watch for a homeport and a first booking window before you lock air into a guess city. If you want Wish-class hardware sooner, compare live Wish, Treasure, and Destiny dates instead of waiting on Believe.
