Last week we told you to wait for the homeport before you priced flights. The wait is over. Disney Believe will sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
Disney’s newsroom and Port Everglades both announced it on 7 Oct 2026, the day of the livestream. The keel story that set up this reveal is Disney Believe’s keel is down.
When does Disney Believe sail?
The maiden voyage leaves Port Everglades on 18 Dec 2027.
After that, the ship runs four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Each one stops at Disney Castaway Cay, Disney Lookout Cay, or both. That is from Disney’s release.
The Disney Cruise Line Blog lists the maiden voyage as five nights, with Nassau, Lookout Cay, and Castaway Cay. PAX counts 29 inaugural-season sailings through May 2028, and adds Cozumel to the port list.
When can you book?
Public booking opens 19 Oct 2026. Port Everglades prints that date.
Members go first. PAX lists the windows like this, each at 8am ET:
| Who | Opens |
|---|---|
| Pearl Castaway Club | 12 Oct |
| Platinum | 13 Oct |
| Gold | 14 Oct |
| Silver, plus eligible Disney Vacation Club and Adventures by Disney Adventure Insiders | 15 Oct |
| Everyone | 19 Oct |
Disney’s own release does not print those dates. PAX is the one outlet read for them. Check your Castaway Club email before Monday.
What is new on board?
Disney Believe is the fourth Wish-class ship, after Wish, Treasure, and Destiny. So much of it will feel familiar. The new pieces are the headline.
- Disney Encanto, the first stage version of the film, only on this ship.
- Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, a new rotational dining room. 1923 and Worlds of Marvel come back.
- Gazelle, a Zootopia lounge. Family games by day, adults-only at night.
- A Moana-themed Grand Hall, and a Believe Tower Suite of nearly 2,000 square feet that sleeps eight.
Disney says 70 percent of staterooms have a verandah, and there are more than 450 connecting doors. No fares are published yet.
The fine print on the maiden voyage
PAX says the 18 Dec maiden voyage has stricter terms. The deposit is 10 percent and non-refundable. Changing the sail date is restricted. Read those terms before you put down money for the first sailing.
What this means for you
If you want Disney Believe’s first season, set an alarm for your booking window. Fly into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL), which the port says sits less than two miles away. If the maiden voyage is the goal, decide now if a non-refundable deposit fits your plans.
