The short answerYou board Vision of the Seas in Baltimore on 17 Oct 2026 for Bermuda. Cruise Hive prints a Friday email that sends the ship to Saint John, New Brunswick, from 6:30 p.m. on 19 Oct to 6:30 a.m. on 20 Oct. You cannot get off. Credit is $75, $150, or $200 per stateroom.

You booked Bermuda. The email says you stay on the ship.

Cruise Hive, Melissa Mayntz, 17 Oct 2026, prints the note Royal Caribbean sent late on Friday 16 Oct. That was the day before you board. No Royal Caribbean newsroom post for the email was found. This site does not have the message outside that article. The clocks and the money below are that report.

Where the ship goes

This is the 5-night sailing that boards in Baltimore on Saturday 17 Oct 2026. Cruise Hive quotes the email:

Along with our meteorology team, we’ve been closely monitoring inclement weather impacting the Bermuda area for our October 17, 2026, Vision of the Seas sailing. The weather’s impact makes it hard to provide you with a safe and comfortable journey to Bermuda.

So, after exploring all of our options, we’ve decided to sail to St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, for an overnight stay instead.

The city in that sentence is Saint John, New Brunswick.

The same article quotes the restriction:

Guests will not be able to disembark while in port.

Saint John is the only call on the revised cruise. The email’s itinerary, as Cruise Hive prints it, runs from 6:30 p.m. on Monday 19 Oct until 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday 20 Oct. You are alongside overnight. You do not go ashore. Cruise Hive calls that a cruise to nowhere. The line you can plan on is the one in the email.

The article does not print a Baltimore return clock. It still calls the cruise 5 nights. It does not say the return day moved.

What lands on the account

Cruise Hive says Royal Caribbean describes the credit as a thank you for your continued loyalty, and as help for the inconvenience. The amounts are non-refundable, and they are per stateroom.

StateroomCredit
Inside$75
Outside$75
Balcony$150
Suite$200

A third guest, a fourth guest, or anyone after the first two adds $25 a person. Two people in a balcony do not split $150 into two payments. The room gets $150. A third person in that room adds $25, for $175.

Bermuda shore excursions you bought through Royal Caribbean are cancelled. The refund goes to the onboard account. Cruise Hive then says any amount still unused at the end of the sailing goes back to the credit card on that account. That sentence sits in the excursion paragraph. The loyalty credit above is described on its own as non-refundable. Treat them as two pots. Do not assume the $75, the $150, or the $200 goes back to your card if you do not spend it.

The article does not print a fare refund.

A Bermuda tour you bought from another company is outside the automatic refund. Call that operator.

What the article says about the weather

Cruise Hive reads a National Weather Service storm warning for a strong cold front. It places the weather 100 to 250 nautical miles offshore, on the route toward Bermuda. In that reading, winds start at 15 to 25 knots, rise to 30 to 40 knots on Saturday, and reach as high as 50 knots on Saturday night. Swells in the same reading run as high as 13 to 22 feet. The article says the warning keeps winds of 30 to 45 knots as late as Wednesday night, with swells of 12 to 24 feet. Those figures are Cruise Hive’s. This post did not open the Weather Service text.

The article also says retail and the casino often close when a ship is in port and guests cannot get off, and that extra trivia or comedy is common on short notice. Those lines are the writer’s account of what usually happens. They are not in the email quotes. Leave them out of the plan until the daily program says otherwise.

This is not the September cruise

In late September, Vision of the Seas lost a Canada and New England week and went to Florida and the Bahamas instead. That sailing is already on this site. Cruise Hive mentions it as background. The 17 Oct cruise is a different booking. The September ship went somewhere you could get off. This email says you cannot.

What this means for you

If you board in Baltimore today, pack for the ship. The beach day in Bermuda is off the plan the email describes. The only call is Saint John, 6:30 p.m. Monday to 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, and you stay aboard. Match the credit to the cabin type, then add $25 for each guest after the first two. Watch the onboard account for a Royal Caribbean Bermuda tour. Call a private operator yourself. Leave a fare refund out of the budget unless a newer Royal Caribbean note adds one. Facts above follow Cruise Hive, Melissa Mayntz, 17 Oct 2026.

  1. TIER 2Cruise Hive, Melissa Mayntz, 17 Oct 2026: Royal Caribbean emailed guests late on Friday 16 Oct, the day before embarkation, about the 5-night Vision of the Seas sailing that boards Baltimore on Saturday 17 Oct 2026. The quoted email says the meteorology team has been monitoring inclement weather affecting the Bermuda area, that the weather makes a safe and comfortable journey to Bermuda hard to provide, and that the ship will sail to St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, for an overnight stay instead. A later quote says guests will not be able to disembark while in port. The updated itinerary in the email makes Saint John the only port, from 6:30 p.m. Monday 19 Oct until 6:30 a.m. Tuesday 20 Oct. The article calls the result a cruise to nowhere. Non-refundable onboard credit, described as a thank you for continued loyalty and to help make up for the inconvenience, is $75 for an inside or outside stateroom, $150 for a balcony, and $200 for a suite. Amounts are per stateroom. A third, fourth, or additional guest adds $25 per person after the first two. Bermuda shore excursions bought through Royal Caribbean are cancelled and refunded to the onboard account, and the article says any amount that remains unused at the end of the sailing is refunded to the credit card on that account. The article's reading of a National Weather Service storm warning for a strong cold front offshore puts the bad weather 100 to 250 nautical miles offshore on the route to Bermuda, with winds starting at 15 to 25 knots, rising to 30 to 40 knots on Saturday and as high as 50 knots Saturday night, swells as high as 13 to 22 feet, and the warning continuing with winds of 30 to 45 knots as late as Wednesday night and swells of 12 to 24 feet. The article also recalls the late-September reroute of a 9-night Canada and New England cruise to Florida and the Bahamas, and calls Vision a 2,050-guest ship. It prints no fare refund and no Baltimore return clock. No Royal Caribbean newsroom URL is linked.
