Vision of the Seas is not doing fall foliage this sailing. Cruise Industry News and Cruise Hive, both dated 24 Sep 2026, report that Royal Caribbean replaced the nine-night Canada and New England cruise out of Baltimore with a Florida and Bahamas run because of the nor’easter hitting the Northeast coast. No Royal Caribbean newsroom release was located. Load-bearing facts below follow Cruise Industry News’ Tier 1 write-up of the line statement, with Cruise Hive’s Tier 2 guest-email detail for the revised port clocks and boarding rules.
If you prepaid a Royal Caribbean Boston, Portland, Saint John, or Halifax tour, treat it as cancelled and refunded as onboard credit.
What changed
The ship was due to leave Baltimore on Thursday 24 Sep 2026 for Boston, Portland, an overnight in Saint John, and Halifax, plus three North Atlantic sea days.
New plan from the guest notice those outlets quoted:
- Thursday 24 Sep: late embarkation; ship stays overnight in Baltimore
- Friday 25 Sep: departure 3pm
- Saturday–Sunday: sea days south
- Monday 28 Sep: Port Canaveral, 8am–6pm
- Tuesday 29 Sep: Nassau, 10:30am–7pm
- Wednesday 30 Sep: Grand Bahama Island, 8am–5pm
- Then two sea days north, back to Baltimore about 7am Saturday 3 Oct
Cruise Industry News says Royal Caribbean explored options before “making the difficult decision of replacing the Canada and New England Itinerary.”
Boarding and overnight hold
Cruise Hive says the previous sailing’s late return and the weather pushed check-in. The cruise terminal does not open until 4:30pm Thursday. Arrival windows move about 5 to 5.5 hours later. Latest arrival is 6:30pm. Everyone must be checked in and onboard by 7pm.
Once you are onboard in Baltimore, you stay onboard. Cruise Hive quotes Royal Caribbean: going ashore is not allowed per U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Shops and Casino Royale stay closed while the ship is docked. Other dining, entertainment, and activities run as planned.
Tours and compensation
Prepaid shore excursions booked through Royal Caribbean for the cancelled Canada and New England ports refund as refundable onboard credit, per both outlets. Cruise Hive says those tours are automatically cancelled and that guests can book new tours for Port Canaveral, Nassau, or Grand Bahama at the Shore Excursions desk onboard.
Independent tours you bought outside Royal Caribbean for the dropped ports are your problem to cancel. Neither outlet listed a separate goodwill cruise-fare credit package in the guest notice they quoted.
What you should do
If you are on this Baltimore Vision of the Seas sailing, open the latest Royal Caribbean itinerary email and app update. Pack for warm weather, not New England fall. Confirm the Friday 3pm sailaway and the Port Canaveral / Nassau / Grand Bahama clocks. Check that cancelled Royal Caribbean tours posted as OBC. Do not plan a Baltimore evening ashore after boarding. Facts above follow Cruise Industry News on 24 Sep 2026 and Cruise Hive on 24 Sep 2026 quoting Royal Caribbean’s guest notice.
