Port Everglades says fiscal 2026 was a third straight record, at more than 5.38 million cruise guests. The same article says more than 850 parking spaces opened beside Terminal 18. The port posted that on 22 Oct 2026. Seatrade Cruise News, Anne Kalosh, 23 Oct, prints the same parking line and the same record. Cruise & Ferry, Laura Hyde, 26 Oct, is the later interview. It ties the new lot to Legend of the Seas and forecasts 4.9 million guests for the 2026-27 season.

The photo on this page is the lead image on the port article. The page does not name a photographer. Seatrade credits its own lead photo to Port Everglades. This page uses the port file.

Two counts, two windows

The 5.38 million figure is last fiscal year. The 4.9 million figure is a forecast for the season ahead. Do not add them.

The parking

If you are driving to a ship, the spaces are the part that changes your morning.

Use 6,386 when you are reading the 22 Oct article. The parking page, read the same day as this post, still says over 5,500. Those are both the port’s pages. This post does not pick a third number by adding the lots.

The $25 maximum is the parking page. The article that announced the spaces does not print a rate. Oversized vehicles, up to 24 feet, are $35 up to 24 hours on that same page. Call 954-468-3680 if the vehicle will not fit a standard space. That number is on the parking page.

Legend, and who else is in the season

The port article says Legend of the Seas arrives in November, to homeport for the 2027 season, at up to 7,600 guests. Seatrade prints that same maximum. Cruise & Ferry says November 2026, and it prints 5,610 passengers at double occupancy. Keep both capacity lines. One is a maximum. One is double occupancy.

The Fort Lauderdale naming is already a separate post: Legend of the Seas names Gen. Robinson godmother for Fort Lauderdale debut. This note does not repeat the ceremony.

The port article also names two other ships new to this season. Orient Express Corinthian can sail fully on wind, with up to 110 guests. Crystal Symphony, 606 guests, homeports after a 2025 drydock. Seatrade names both ships and does not print 110 or 606. Cruise & Ferry does not cover them.

Nine lines and 40 ships are in the port article and in Seatrade: Celebrity, Cunard, Crystal, Disney Cruise Line, Holland America, Orient Express, Princess, Royal Caribbean, and Viking, plus Baleària Caribbean’s ferry Jaume II.

Martin Jackson is the new director of a Cruise Services Division. Morris says Jackson joined the port in January 2025. That appointment does not change your parking spot or your ship.

What this means if you are driving to Terminal 18

The parking page lists Palm Garage for Terminals 19, 21, 25, 26, and 29, and Heron Garage for Terminals 2 and 4. It does not list Terminal 18 under either garage. It does list Lot B, Lot C, and Lot D beside Terminal 18, with Lot D to the north.

Do not reserve. The page says the port does not take a reservation or a prepayment. If you are on Legend, use the port’s 7,600 maximum and Cruise & Ferry’s 5,610 double-occupancy line as two different counts, and check the ship’s own page before you treat either one as your cabin math.
