The short answerNorwegian Cruise Line Holdings reported third-quarter revenue of $2.9 billion and adjusted EPS of $1.12, above a $0.90 guide, and raised full-year guidance. The 29 Oct 2026 release and call slides say 2027 prices are ahead of last year in every quarter, while first-half 2027 bookings lag. Great Tides Waterpark is open. Seven Seas Prestige moves to late December.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings beat its own third-quarter guide. The GlobeNewswire release, Miami, 29 Oct 2026 at 06:30 ET, puts revenue at $2.9 billion and adjusted earnings at $1.12 a share. The guide was $0.90. The call slides and the webcast sit on the investor page. The call was 8:30 a.m. ET the same morning.

The photo is Norwegian’s own image of Tidal Tower at Great Tides Waterpark. The newsroom file is from the 4 Aug 2026 first look. The tower in the frame reads NCL Great Stirrup Cay. This is not a photo from the earnings call.

Seatrade Cruise News, Anne Kalosh, 29 Oct, tracks the release and tells readers to check back after the call. This post uses the release and the slides. It does not invent remarks from the webcast.

The quarter, in the numbers that matter

Revenue was $2.9 billion. The income statement prints $2,946,763 thousand, against $2,938,142 thousand a year earlier. Ticket revenue was about $1.95 billion, down from about $2.05 billion. Onboard and other revenue was about $1.00 billion, up from about $888 million.

GAAP profit was $491 million, or $1.07 a share. A year earlier those figures were $419 million and $0.86. Adjusted profit was $514 million. Adjusted EPS of $1.12 beat the $0.90 guide by 22 cents. Adjusted EBITDA of $937 million beat an $874 million guide by $63 million.

The release says the beat came from stronger close-in demand, onboard spend, and lower unit costs than planned. Net yield still fell. It was down 6.5 percent as reported and 6.7 percent in constant currency. That was about 220 basis points better than a guide of down 8.9 percent.

The slides print occupancy of 106.5 percent. The guide on that page was about 104 percent. The release says the company carried 983,214 passengers in the quarter, against 803,268 a year earlier.

Full-year guidance went up. Adjusted EPS is now about $1.70. Adjusted EBITDA is about $2.55 billion. Adjusted net income is about $789 million. Constant-currency net yield for 2026 is now expected down about 4.4 percent.

The fourth quarter is the soft spot. Adjusted EPS is guided to about a 12 cent loss. Constant-currency net yield is still guided down about 6.5 percent. The release says the underlying yield picture improved a bit, and that mix then offset it.

Debt at 30 Sept was $15.1 billion. Net debt was $14.8 billion. Net leverage was 5.5 times. Kempa says cutting that leverage is a top priority.

What 2027 pricing means when you book

Prices for 2027 are ahead of last year. The release splits the year. First-half pricing is ahead of the same time last year, and the booked position is still below last year. Second-half pricing is ahead, and the booked position is in line with last year.

The slides are tighter on the calendar. They say 2027 pricing remains ahead across all quarters, compared with 2026 sailings at the same time last year. They say second-half 2027 bookings are tracking in line with the prior year.

The company expects 2027 net yield growth of 1 percent to 2 percent, with a meaningful acceleration in the second half. John W. Chidsey, chairperson and chief executive, uses that same range in the release. He calls it an early sign of progress, with the acceleration in the back half of the year.

The next 12 months of bookings improved modestly since the last earnings release. The release says that book is still below the range the company calls optimal. The slides say the same thing in fewer words. Close-in demand helped. The book is still behind.

Base-loading, and why the date you book matters

The release says the company is putting a base-loading strategy across 2027 and 2028 sailings. The slides name the slice. A majority of second-half 2027 sailings, and all of 2028.

That is the new line in these documents. The idea itself is older. On the 30 Jul 2026 call, Chidsey described base-loading as more competitive prices earlier in the booking curve, and he said it was not a discount program. That call is in the July pricing post. These October pages do not repeat that sentence. They do say the method now covers those later sailings.

If you want a second-half 2027 Norwegian cruise, or anything in 2028, the company is trying to fill those ships earlier. Waiting for a last-minute cut is the habit this strategy is built to use less.

Great Stirrup Cay

Great Tides Waterpark opened on 4 Sept 2026. The release puts it on Great Stirrup Cay, a 270-acre private island. It lists nearly six acres, 19 waterslides, a wandering river, the industry’s first-ever cliff jumps, a kids splash zone, and new food and drink.

The slides mark three things open. The two-berth pier. The waterpark. Vibe Beach, Great Tides Lagoon, and other amenities.

Guest scores are on the slides, not in the release. Ninety percent of guests surveyed would recommend the waterpark. Of every amenity on the island, the slides say the waterpark is the highest rated. Creator posts drew 275 million views and more than 2,500 posts. The slides do not print how many people were surveyed, or when.

Regent, including the suite price

Seven Seas Prestige is late. The release says delivery moved to late December, and that this delay, plus cancelled Seven Seas Voyager sailings through the Suez Canal, is the mix hit in the fourth-quarter yield guide. The slides still say the ship debuts in December 2026, and they call it Regent’s first new ship class in a decade.

Launch-day bookings beat the old record. The slides say that record was Seven Seas Splendor in 2018, and that Prestige beat it by 26 percent. The ship is already reserved on over 70 percent of 2027 sailings.

The Skyview Regent Suite is listed at $25,000 or more a night. The slides call it the largest all-inclusive ultra-luxury cruise ship suite in history, and they say Prestige is booked at record pricing for Regent, at a premium to the rest of that fleet. The release does not print the suite price or the 26 percent.

The $100 million, in the company’s words

The release says the company announced additional run-rate savings of about $100 million. The items it names are guest and crew air optimization and other tactical changes in promotional offerings. It says those savings will phase in through 2028.

That is the company’s description. It does not say which promotion changes, which fare, or which guest. It does not say a drink package, a Wi-Fi plan, or an air credit is going away. Do not invent that list.

The slides put the same about $100 million on a chart labeled guest and crew air optimization plus other promotional offerings. The chart’s total of identified run-rate savings is over $600 million, and a box reads above $625 million. The release’s “additional” and “phase in through 2028” apply to the new $100 million, not to a promise that every older saving lands in 2028.

Which ships leave, and which ones you can still book

Oceania Sirena is sold. The release says the sale is done, and that a charter keeps her in Oceania service through spring 2028. The slides say the sale agreement was from July and closed in the third quarter.

Oceania Insignia is sold, with a later handoff. The release says a memorandum of agreement is in place and delivery to the buyer is expected in September 2027. The slides date that agreement to October 2026.

Charters are in the slide footnote. Norwegian Sky’s long-term charter began in September 2026. Norwegian Sun and Seven Seas Navigator begin in 2027. Each of those three includes a purchase option. The footnote says ships marked as leaving the fleet are current expectations and can change. Oceania Regatta started a separate two-year charter in September 2026, with no purchase option. The release’s “about the company” line says two ships are already excluded from the 33-ship, roughly 72,000-berth count because they are on long-term charter.

New ships stay on the calendar. Norwegian Bella, the last Prima Class ship, is on sale. Her inaugural Europe season begins in May 2028. The slides say Bella and Norwegian Aura were lengthened so they can use green methanol later, and that more work is required before that fuel is in use. Oceania Sonata has floated out. The release says she debuts in August 2027.

The brand line

The slides, not the release, print the new Norwegian Cruise Line positioning. The words are “Cruise without compromise.” The pillars under that line are freedom, choice, and hospitality. Another line on the same slide says the best vacation is where no one has to settle.

The target on the slide is premium families and seasoned travelers. It says a significant share of both have never cruised. Media money is moving toward the top of the funnel, through social, high-profile media, and brand activations. The release has Chidsey on “sharpening Norwegian Cruise Line’s brand positioning.” It does not print the slogan.

What this means for you

If you want a Norwegian cruise in the second half of 2027, or any 2028 sailing, price it before you assume a late deal. The slides say those sailings are the ones now on the base-loading plan. First-half 2027 is the odd stretch. Prices are ahead of last year, and fewer cabins are booked than last year. That is the release. It is not a coupon.

If Great Stirrup Cay is on your itinerary, the pier and the waterpark are open on the slides, and the waterpark is the amenity guests rated highest. The 90 percent figure is a survey the slides do not size.

If you are waiting on Seven Seas Prestige, the release says late December, and some Voyager Suez trips are off. The suite at $25,000 or more a night is a slide, not a fare you can assume is still open.

If you hold Oceania Sirena, the company says she keeps sailing for Oceania through spring 2028. Insignia is the ship with a September 2027 delivery to a buyer. Sky is already on a charter. Sun and Navigator start charters in 2027. More Norwegian reporting is on the Norwegian news hub.
