Carnival drink and Wi-Fi prices start varying on Dec. 1

Carnival will change what you pay for a drink package and for Wi-Fi on Dec. 1, 2026. The price will depend on the sailing.
The Carnival newsroom post, 14 Oct 2026, says pricing for beverage packages and Wi-Fi plans will vary based on sailing length, itinerary, and season. It does not print a new high or a new low. USA Today, Nathan Diller, 6:30pm ET that day, reports the same gap. Money Talks News carries Diller’s report and does not add a figure.
What changes on Dec. 1?
The release names three factors. Length. Itinerary. Season. It does not say a holiday week costs more than a September week, and it does not say a newer ship costs more. Those guesses are not in the release.
Cruise Hive, Melissa Mayntz, 14 Oct, says Carnival has not said whether a package you buy before Dec. 1 stays at today’s rate. It also says Carnival has not said whether the change is permanent or a test. The release does not answer either question.
If you are booked, open the price on your sailing before Dec. 1. Do not treat that click as a freeze. On carnival.com/drink-packages, checked 15 Oct 2026, the CHEERS! terms say a price adjustment on the day of sailing, up or down, replaces any previously advertised price.
What do the pages charge today?
These are the public pages on 15 Oct 2026. Your booking screen wins if it differs.
CHEERS!, the alcoholic package, is $69.95 per person per day before the cruise, plus a 20 percent service charge. That is $83.94 before tax. Onboard it is $74.95 plus 20 percent, which is $89.94. Every adult in the stateroom has to buy it, and you buy it for the whole cruise. A pre-purchase is refundable until 10:00pm ET the evening before departure. The online cutoff on that page is 11:59pm ET the same evening.
CHEERS! Zero Proof, the premium non-alcoholic package, is listed at $29.99 per person per day. That card does not show a separate 20 percent line.
Bottomless Bubbles, the soda and juice package, is $6.95 per person per day for children and $9.50 for adults in the FAQ on Carnival’s page. Cruise Hive prints $11.99 for the adult rate. This page follows Carnival’s FAQ. Read the number in your own booking before you pay.
Wi-Fi on carnival.com/internet-plans, the same day, already says starting at:
| Plan | Pre-cruise, per day | Onboard, per day |
|---|---|---|
| Social | starting at $20.40 | $22 |
| Value | starting at $23.80 | $26 |
| Premium | starting at $25.50 | $28 |
Value and Premium also list a 24-hour onboard plan, at $28 and $35. Social does not. The page says only one device connects at a time, and that cruise-long prices can change without notice. Pre-cruise purchase runs until 11:59pm ET the day before you board.
USA Today, and Cruise Hive, both describe a fourth plan, Premium Multi-Device, starting at $90 a day for up to four devices, bought online. The internet-plans page retrieved on 15 Oct did not show that plan. If you need more than one device at once, look for it inside your booking. Do not budget $90 from this post alone.
What are the four FunPacks?
The release calls FunPacks a limited-time bundle and says they save 35 to 55 percent versus buying the pieces separately. The dollar amounts are on Carnival’s FunPacks page, checked 15 Oct 2026. The release page itself had no price table under the line that introduces the inclusions.
You book in My Cruise Manager. The window is 13 Oct through 30 Oct 2026, for sailings that depart 31 Oct 2026 through 31 Dec 2027. You also have to buy no later than three days before sailing. FunPacks are not sold onboard.
| FunPack | Per person, per day | Who | What the page includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kidstarter | $25 | Ages 3 to 17 | Bottomless Bubbles and a souvenir cup, Social Wi-Fi, 1,000 arcade tokens, a lanyard, 50 percent off bulk candy at Cherry on Top |
| Zero Proof | $50 | Ages 3 and older | CHEERS! Zero Proof, Value Wi-Fi, $50 off a shore excursion, $25 off specialty dining |
| Social | $60 | Age 21 and older | CHEERS! Social, Premium Wi-Fi, one excursion up to $100, one specialty dining up to $55, 50 percent off spa, 50 percent off Dreams Studio |
| Epic | $99 | Age 21 and older | CHEERS!, Premium Wi-Fi, two excursions up to $100 each, two specialty dining up to $55 each, 50 percent off spa, 50 percent off Dreams Studio, sparkling wine, one bag of laundry |
The page ties the up-to savings to a 6-day cruise: up to 50 percent, 35 percent, 50 percent, and 55 percent, in that order. The release’s 35 to 55 percent line is that spread. It is not a promised saving on your week.
Service charges on the drink and dining benefits are included in the FunPack price. They are extra on a standalone CHEERS! purchase.
If one adult 21 or older buys a FunPack, every adult 21 or older in that room buys the same one. A guest under 21 can buy Kidstarter, ages 3 to 17, or Zero Proof, ages 3 to 20, and does not have to.
Social and Epic cost a different amount from Galveston, New York, and Norfolk. Alcoholic benefits on those sailings start at 6am on day two, and Carnival adjusts the price. The page does not print the new number. The total in My Cruise Manager is the price.
Dining, the excursion, the spa discount, and the photo discount have to be reserved before sailing, no later than three days out. Bonsai Teppanyaki and The Chef’s Table are excluded. So is Faster to the Fun. If the excursion costs more than the cap, you pay the difference. If the dining costs more than $55, you cannot pay the difference. Unused value is gone.
An old Essentials or Ultimate Value package does not turn into a FunPack. If you cancel it to switch, reservations you made with that package can cancel too. Check that the new slots are open first.
What is CHEERS! Social?
CHEERS! Social is three eligible alcoholic drinks a day, each valued up to $20, plus unlimited eligible non-alcoholic drinks. It exists only inside the Social FunPack. After the third drink, you pay the menu price. The daily alcoholic cap is still 15. Leftover drinks do not roll to tomorrow.
Full CHEERS!, inside Epic or bought on its own, is the 15-drink package. On the drink page, drinks at $20 or under are included, and drinks above $20 are 25 percent off. Social is a smaller package at a lower printed day rate. Match the package to the number of drinks you will order.
A Social FunPack at $60 already includes Premium Wi-Fi and the excursion and dining credits, with service in the price. Standalone CHEERS! at $69.95 plus 20 percent is $83.94, and Wi-Fi is still extra. Read both totals on your sailing before you pick.
What this means for you
If you want a FunPack, the sale window ends 30 Oct 2026, and the three-day rule can close it sooner. Open My Cruise Manager and read the total for your port. Galveston, New York, and Norfolk reprice Social and Epic.
If you want today’s standalone CHEERS! or Wi-Fi rate, look before Dec. 1. Add the 20 percent on CHEERS!. Save the screen. Carnival has not said that purchase locks the rate, and the CHEERS! page says a day-of-sailing adjustment can replace the advertised price. Facts above follow Carnival’s 14 Oct release, the FunPacks, drink, and internet pages checked 15 Oct 2026, USA Today and Cruise Hive on 14 Oct, and the Money Talks News reprint of the USA Today report.
