Virgin is changing 16 Brilliant Lady departures in the 2027 Alaska and Pacific coastal season. Cruise Industry News, dated 28 Sep 2026, reports a statement Virgin sent to travel advisors. VV Insider, dated 23 Sep 2026, prints the Tracy Arm dates and the Victoria hours. Deep Arrival, dated 28 Sep 2026, matches those points. No Virgin newsroom page was located. The ship, the voyage length, and the onboard experience stay the same. Cruise Industry News quotes Virgin on that.

You still sail Brilliant Lady. You still sail the same number of nights. The ports and the fjord day are what moved.

Tracy Arm becomes Endicott Arm

Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier replace Tracy Arm on 13 sailings. Virgin cites continued landslide risk in the Tracy Arm area. VV Insider says this is the same change Virgin made for the 2026 season.

Cruise Industry News states the count of 13. It does not print the dates. VV Insider lists them. Deep Arrival repeats that list:

  • 20 May 2027
  • 27 May 2027
  • 3 Jun 2027
  • 10 Jun 2027
  • 17 Jun 2027
  • 24 Jun 2027
  • 1 Jul 2027
  • 8 Jul 2027
  • 15 Jul 2027
  • 22 Jul 2027
  • 29 Jul 2027
  • 5 Aug 2027
  • 2 Sep 2027

Deep Arrival checked Virgin’s page for the 2 Sep 2027 Seattle to Vancouver sailing. The day list already shows Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. Marketing copy on that same page still names Tracy Arm. Read the day-by-day list. Treat a Tracy Arm headline as stale until the day list matches.

Victoria replaces Prince Rupert

Victoria, British Columbia, replaces Prince Rupert on 12 sailings. Virgin told advisors it made the change after guest feedback. Cruise Industry News calls it a full day and names the Inner Harbour and historic downtown. VV Insider puts the call at 10am to 6pm. Deep Arrival uses those same hours.

VV Insider says the old Prince Rupert day becomes a sea day. Victoria comes after that sea day. Cruise Industry News does not print that sea-day step. Use VV Insider for it.

None of the three reports lists which 12 dates lose Prince Rupert. Open the booking and read your own date.

What the label change means

Inside Passage cruising now shows as a sea day. Cruise Industry News and VV Insider both report that label. VV Insider says the scenic cruising itself stays the same. The line on the itinerary now reads sea day.

Tender and timing tweaks hit Juneau, Sitka, and Icy Strait Point on select sailings. Cruise Industry News and VV Insider both say that. Neither one publishes the new clocks. Deep Arrival says the same. Compare the live all-aboard time with any tour you already paid for.

24 Aug and 10 Sep

The 24 Aug 2027 sailing leaves Victoria at 6pm. Cruise Industry News cites local harbor restrictions. VV Insider says the old departure was 11pm. That 11pm figure is in VV Insider. Plan that day around a 6pm sail.

The 10 Sep 2027 Pacific coastal sailing drops Astoria. Virgin is making room for Vancouver tidal windows. The Astoria call becomes a sea day. The ship spends more time in San Francisco. VV Insider says San Francisco now runs until 11:59pm. Cruise Industry News says more time in San Francisco and does not print 11:59pm. Use VV Insider for that clock.

You get a $33 per person refund of Astoria port taxes and fees. Cruise Industry News, VV Insider, and Deep Arrival all state that amount. None of the three reports states a fare refund for the Tracy Arm swap or the Victoria swap. Deep Arrival says the advisor note does not describe one.

The 10 Sep date is not on VV Insider’s list of 13 Tracy Arm sailings. The 24 Aug date is not on that list either.

Shore Things

If you booked the affected Shore Things through Virgin, you do not have to edit them yourself. VV Insider says Virgin will adjust or refund those bookings on its own. A tour you bought from someone else is your call to that operator. Cruise Industry News does not add a different Shore Things rule.

What you should do

If your 2027 date is on the list of 13, expect Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. Check whether Victoria replaced Prince Rupert, and plan a 10am to 6pm call unless you sail 24 Aug. That sailing leaves Victoria at 6pm. If you sail 10 Sep, drop Astoria, look for the extra San Francisco time, and watch for the $33 per person tax refund. Screenshot the day list if the headline still says Tracy Arm. Move any independent tour yourself. Facts above follow Cruise Industry News on 28 Sep 2026, VV Insider on 23 Sep 2026, and Deep Arrival on 28 Sep 2026.
