The short answerDisney emailed Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members on 15 Oct 2026. Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Palo Trattoria drop the set-price dinner starting 22 Oct. You keep $55 per person toward the a la carte dinner. Brunch is outside that credit. You pay drinks, the gratuity, and any food over $55.

The Palo set-price dinner is on the way out. If you are Platinum or Pearl, the credit becomes $55 toward the a la carte dinner.

Cruise Hive, Melissa Mayntz, 16 Oct 2026, and the Disney Cruise Line Blog, Scott Sanders, 15 Oct, both print the email. The blog dates that email 15 Oct 2026. This check could not open Disney’s Palo FAQ page on 19 Oct. The URL redirected in a loop. The figures below come from the email those two outlets print, and from the benefit wording the blog prints.

What the email says

The email is addressed to Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members. It covers Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Palo Trattoria.

The blog prints this:

Beginning on October 22, 2026, these restaurants will transition away from the prix-fixe dinner menu to a selection of our Guest’s favorite items.

Members and their Guests staying in the same stateroom can continue to use their $55.00 USD per person credit toward a broad range of à la carte dinner menu offerings. This exclusive benefit is limited to dinner only. As a reminder, brunch is not included in this offer. Guests are responsible for beverage charges, gratuities, and any amount exceeding the credit.

Cruise Hive quotes the same start date, the same $55 credit, and the same dinner-only line.

You pay three things on top of the credit. Drinks. The gratuity. Any food above $55.

The member has to be at the table. Cruise Hive says that is the existing Castaway Club rule. The blog’s 15 Oct benefit text says the same, and it says the credit is once per sailing. Unused credit is forfeited. It has no cash value. It cannot be transferred.

The blog prints the benefit line from 14 Oct as a complimentary dinner, one experience per stateroom per sailing. The 15 Oct line is the $55 credit. That before-and-after text is the blog’s. It is not in the Cruise Hive article.

Which ship, which day

The email sentence names 22 Oct 2026. It does not name a ship. Cruise Hive uses that date for the fleet and does not print a later date.

The Disney Cruise Line Blog, DCL Fan, Hannah Anderson, updated 15 Oct, and WDW Magazine print the same ship list. That list is not inside the email text.

ShipDate on those three pages
Disney WonderThu 22 Oct 2026
Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney WishFri 23 Oct 2026
Disney Magic, Disney Treasure, Disney DestinySat 24 Oct 2026
Disney AdventureMon 26 Oct 2026

If you are on Wonder, every report puts you on 22 Oct. If you are on a later ship, the email sentence you can quote still says 22 Oct. The ship table is the three outlets’ list. Check the reservation if your sailing falls in that week.

Brunch

The email says the credit is dinner only. Brunch is outside the offer.

Cruise Hive says using the benefit at brunch had been a manager’s choice. The written benefit was dinner. DCL Fan says the brunch menu stays prix-fixe at $55 per person and that you pay it yourself. WDW Magazine says Disney has not announced a change to the brunch experience or to Prima Notte. The email text does not print a brunch price. Use $55 for brunch only as DCL Fan’s figure.

The blog says the email points you to My Reservations, and that pre-arranged activities can be changed online up to three days before the sailing. A brunch you already booked is still a booking. The credit rule in the email does not say that booking keeps the old benefit.

Cruise Hive says it sees no sign that a la carte prices are changing. It prints sides at $6 and a 28-ounce porterhouse at $80. Those prices are in that article. They are not in the email. The email says the restaurants move to a selection of guest favorite items.

If you are Platinum or Pearl and you sail on or after the date for your ship, plan the Palo credit as $55 toward dinner. Price the plate before you sit down. If the table is over $55, the extra is yours, plus drinks and the gratuity.

  1. TIER 2Cruise Hive, Melissa Mayntz, 16 Oct 2026: Disney Cruise Line is removing prix-fixe pricing at Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Palo Trattoria beginning Thursday 22 Oct 2026, and those restaurants will offer a la carte pricing. Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members get a $55 per person credit for a la carte items instead of the free prix-fixe dinner. The article quotes a guest email: Platinum and Pearl members are invited to an evening at Palo, Palo Steakhouse, or Palo Trattoria, and beginning 22 Oct 2026 those restaurants transition away from the prix-fixe dinner menu to a selection of guest favorite items. The article says the old prix-fixe price was $55, so the credit matches it. Guests in the same stateroom also receive the $55 credit, and the Platinum or Pearl member must be present. If the order is over $55, you pay the difference. You still pay beverages and gratuities. The article says there is no indication that a la carte prices are changing, and it prints a range from $6 for sides to $80 for a 28-ounce dry-aged prime Angus porterhouse. On brunch, the article says using the benefit at brunch was never the official benefit and was at the manager's discretion. It quotes the email: this exclusive benefit is limited to dinner only, and brunch is not included. It also says the Castaway Club FAQ states the benefit applies to dinner only.
Cruise Hive, checked 16 Oct 2026 · Read 19 Oct 2026. Load-bearing report of the email. The $6 to $80 menu range is this article's. The email quote in the article names 22 Oct and does not list later ship dates. A direct request to the Disney Palo FAQ URL on 19 Oct redirected in a loop, so this post does not cite that FAQ. 2. TIER 2Disney Cruise Line Blog, Scott Sanders, 15 Oct 2026: Disney is emailing Platinum and Pearl members that Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Palo Trattoria are moving from the prix-fixe dinner to a la carte dinner. The page prints a staggered list: 22 Oct 2026 Disney Wonder; 23 Oct Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish; 24 Oct Disney Destiny, Disney Magic, and Disney Treasure; 26 Oct Disney Adventure. It then prints an email dated 10/15/2026. The email says that beginning 22 Oct 2026 the restaurants transition away from the prix-fixe dinner menu to a selection of guest favorite items. Members and guests in the same stateroom can use a $55.00 USD per person credit toward a la carte dinner menu offerings. The benefit is limited to dinner only. Brunch is not included. Guests are responsible for beverage charges, gratuities, and any amount over the credit. Changes to pre-arranged activities can be made online up to three days before the sailing. The page also prints a Castaway Club benefit-summary change. On 14 Oct 2026 the perk was Complimentary Dinner at Palo, Palo Steakhouse or Palo Trattoria, one complimentary experience per stateroom per sailing, member present, subject to availability. On 15 Oct 2026 the wording became a $55 USD credit toward eligible a la carte dinner offerings, once per sailing, member present, dinner only, brunch excluded. Guests pay beverages, gratuities, and any amount over the credit. Unused credit is forfeited, has no cash value, and is nontransferable. The page says the email mentions modifying existing reservations and that pre-booked reservations can be modified online up to three days before embarkation.
Disney Cruise Line Blog, checked 15 Oct 2026 · The email text matches the sentences Cruise Hive quotes, including the single date 22 Oct. 3. TIER 2DCL Fan, Hannah Anderson, last updated 15 Oct 2026: the prix-fixe Palo dinner menu will no longer be offered, and dinner moves to a la carte, including Palo Steakhouse on the Wish-class ships and Palo Trattoria on Disney Adventure. Pearl and Platinum members can use the $55 credit toward dinner only. The page says you will no longer be able to use the $55 benefit toward Palo brunch. It says brunch's prix-fixe menu stays at $55 per person and is out of pocket for every guest. The ship dates match the Disney Cruise Line Blog list: Wonder on 22 Oct; Fantasy, Dream, and Wish on 23 Oct; Magic, Treasure, and Destiny on 24 Oct; Adventure on 26 Oct.
DCL Fan, checked 15 Oct 2026 · Agrees on the $55 dinner credit, the dinner-only limit, and the ship dates. The line that brunch's own prix-fixe price stays $55 is this page's. The email text printed by Cruise Hive and Disney Cruise Line Blog does not print a brunch menu price.
  4. TIER 2WDW Magazine: beginning 22 Oct 2026 Disney eliminates the prix-fixe dinner at Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Palo Trattoria and moves to a la carte dinner. The ship list matches Disney Cruise Line Blog and DCL Fan. The article says Platinum and Pearl members, and guests in their stateroom, continue to receive a $55 per person credit toward a la carte dinner. It says guests who order more than $55 pay the balance and gratuities. The benefit stays one dining experience per stateroom per sailing, and the member must attend. It says Disney has not announced corresponding changes to Palo brunch or Prima Notte, so those experiences are expected to continue. The page does not print a byline or a clock time in the text retrieved 19 Oct 2026.
WDW Magazine, checked 19 Oct 2026 · Agrees on the credit, the overage, and the ship dates. Its brunch sentence is about the brunch experience continuing. DCL Fan's $55 brunch price is a separate claim. The retrieved page did not show a publication date. It was read 19 Oct 2026.
