The short answerCelebrity Millennium's sailing that leaves Seoul (Incheon) on 5 Oct 2026 replaces Kumamoto with Fukuoka. The guest letter says the port is closed to cruise ships after earthquake damage. Fukuoka is Thursday 8 Oct, 7:00am to 4:00pm. Celebrity Millennium is not going to Kumamoto. The line’s guest letter for the sailing that leaves Seoul (Incheon) at 5:00pm on Monday 5 Oct 2026 puts Fukuoka on the calendar instead. Celebrity says the Kumamoto port is closed to cruise ships after earthquake damage.

That 5:00pm is the time on the letter, in the port’s day. The call that moved is Thursday.

This is not the September cruise that cut Mt Fuji. That one is a separate post: Celebrity Millennium skips Shimizu, stays longer in Kagoshima. The letter for this 5 Oct departure still lists Shimizu.

What the letter changes

Celebrity says it had been in contact with local authorities and port partners after an earthquake in the Kumamoto region. The letter says the line then got final confirmation that the port is closed to cruise ship operations because of damage the port sustained. Day 4 is now Fukuoka, from 7:00am to 4:00pm.

The letter does not print Kumamoto’s old arrival or departure. It does not print a magnitude, a casualty count, or a date for the earthquake. Those details are not in this file, so they are not in this post.

The rest of the week, as printed:

  • Monday 5 Oct: depart Seoul (Incheon) at 5:00pm
  • Tuesday 6 Oct: sea day
  • Wednesday 7 Oct: Jeju Island, 7:00am to 5:00pm
  • Thursday 8 Oct: Fukuoka, 7:00am to 4:00pm
  • Friday 9 Oct: Kagoshima, 7:00am to 4:00pm
  • Saturday 10 Oct: Hiroshima, 11:30am to 9:00pm
  • Sunday 11 Oct: sea day
  • Monday 12 Oct: Kyoto (Osaka), arrive 8:00am
  • Tuesday 13 Oct: Kyoto (Osaka), depart 8:00pm
  • Wednesday 14 Oct: sea day
  • Thursday 15 Oct: Mt Fuji (Shimizu), 7:00am to 6:00pm
  • Friday 16 Oct: Tokyo (Yokohama), 7:30am
  • Saturday 17 Oct: Tokyo (Yokohama), with no clock on that row

Osaka is an overnight on that table. Tokyo is listed on both Friday and Saturday. The Saturday row does not give you an arrival or a departure time.

The tours

Celebrity says every shore excursion it sold for Kumamoto is cancelled. The refund goes back to the original form of payment. You do not file a request for those.

Fukuoka excursions are open now in My Celebrity Cruises and in the Celebrity app. The letter also points you to the shore excursions desk once you are onboard.

The letter does not mention a fare refund or an onboard credit for the port swap.

What this means for you

If you are on the 5 Oct Seoul departure, drop Kumamoto plans for Thursday and use the 7:00am to 4:00pm Fukuoka window. Rebook a tour in the app if you still want a guide that day. If a Kumamoto tour was bought from Celebrity, watch the original card for the refund. If you bought it from someone else, call that operator. Celebrity’s automatic refund covers Celebrity’s excursions only.

Do not copy the September Shimizu cut onto this sailing. This letter still has Mt Fuji (Shimizu) on Thursday 15 Oct, 7:00am to 6:00pm. Open the app before you hold a car or a tour for that day, and again if another letter shows up.
