The short answerCarnival Miracle's 26 Sep 2026 Seattle sailing loses Cabo San Lucas on 1 Oct because of Hurricane Rachel. The ship is scheduled to arrive in Galveston on 12 Oct. Cruise Hive, Cruise Industry News, and Cruise Fever name no replacement port. They also name no refund or onboard credit.

Carnival cancelled Cabo San Lucas on Carnival Miracle’s 26 Sep 2026 sailing from Seattle. Cruise Hive, dated 1 Oct 2026, says Carnival told the 26 Sep Seattle sailing about Cabo. The 1 Oct call is cancelled because of Hurricane Rachel. The same report says the ship is repositioning to Galveston and is due there on 12 Oct. Cruise Fever, dated 30 Sep 2026, had already carried a passenger note that Cabo would be skipped. Cruise Industry News, also dated 30 Sep 2026, is the overview of the Seattle-to-Galveston voyage, and it still listed Cabo. None of the three names a port that replaces Cabo. None names a refund or onboard credit.

If this is your cabin, drop the 1 Oct Cabo plan. Leave the fare alone until Carnival prints a number.

The sailing you are on

Cruise Industry News says Miracle spent the summer in Alaska, then left Seattle on 26 Sep 2026 on a 16-night Panama Canal cruise. It calls the ship a 2,100-guest vessel. The voyage was the repositioning into a winter season from Galveston. The article’s route, as of 30 Sep, ran through Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia, and ended in Galveston in mid-October.

That overview still includes Cabo. After Cabo, Cruise Industry News lists Puntarenas, a Panama Canal transit, Cartagena de Indias, and a direct sail to Galveston. It does not mention Rachel. It does not print 12 Oct. Mid-October is the arrival window it uses.

What Rachel changed

Cruise Hive is the report that dates the cut. Guests on the 26 Sep Seattle sailing were informed that Cabo San Lucas on 1 Oct is cancelled. The ship is on its way to Galveston. Arrival there is scheduled for 12 Oct.

Cruise Fever is the 30 Sep passenger note. It says Carnival put Miracle on alert for possible changes on the Mexican Riviera while weather moved across Baja California. A passenger then on the ship said Cabo will be skipped. Cruise Fever does not print 1 Oct. It does not print 12 Oct. Use it as the passenger note. Use Cruise Hive for the date and the Galveston arrival.

No Carnival newsroom post is linked in these three articles.

What no report states

No replacement port appears in Cruise Hive, Cruise Industry News, or Cruise Fever.

No report states a fare refund, a future cruise credit, or onboard credit. No report states a refund for a Cabo tour. If you bought the tour from Carnival, the app is where a cancel will show. If you bought it from someone else, call that operator.

Puntarenas, the canal transit, and Cartagena are the 30 Sep plan in Cruise Industry News. Cruise Hive’s 1 Oct piece does not say those calls were cancelled. It also does not repeat them. Keep a Costa Rica or Colombia tour only if your day list still shows the port.

What you should do

If you are on the 26 Sep 2026 Seattle Miracle cruise, open the Carnival app. Drop Cabo San Lucas on 1 Oct. Treat 12 Oct in Galveston as the arrival in the Cruise Hive report, and match it to your boarding pass. Ask guest services before you budget any credit for the lost port. These three articles do not give you a dollar figure. Facts above follow Cruise Hive on 1 Oct 2026, and Cruise Industry News and Cruise Fever on 30 Sep 2026.
