Use the entrance that matches your terminal. PortMiami posted the split on 16 Oct 2026.
The Miami-Dade County release is the text. Cruise Industry News, 19 Oct, and Cruise Hive, Calvin Musquez, 16 Oct, track the same passenger rules.
Which road you take
The release tells you to arrive at your scheduled embarkation time. Then it splits the port.
| Your terminal | Enter through |
|---|---|
| AA, A, B, C, or D | PortMiami Tunnel |
| E, F, G, J, or V | PortMiami Bridge |
Cruise Industry News and Cruise Hive print the same two lists.
If you are in a taxi, the release adds the lots. A cab for the staging area across from Terminal C uses the tunnel and parks in Lot 1. A cab for the staging area across from Terminal E uses the bridge and parks in Lot 2. Rideshare and passenger motor carriers use the tunnel to reach their staging areas. Cruise Hive does not print the lot numbers. The release and Cruise Industry News do.
The airport shuttle
Two shuttles are in the release. One is new. One continues.
Carnival Celebration passengers get complimentary transfers to Miami International Airport on select dates. The pilot begins in October 2026. It is a partnership with Carnival Cruise Line. The release does not print the dates.
Icon of the Seas keeps Royal Caribbean Group’s complimentary airport shuttle on select dates. The release does not print those dates either. Cruise Hive calls it a program that will continue. Cruise Industry News says the same.
If you are on another ship, this release does not give you that shuttle.
What else is in the release
The high season has 81 days when seven to 10 ships call at once. That count is in the release and in both articles.
Two videos are planned. The titles are Arrive at Your Embarkation Time and Choosing the Right Entrance. They go on the port’s social channels and on partner channels. The release does not print a date for them. Cruise Hive says the port has not revealed one.
On select dates, PortMiami, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, and City of Miami police will help with traffic at Biscayne Boulevard and in downtown Miami. The port will keep using cargo roads to take pressure off downtown and I-395.
Jonathan Daniels, PortMiami director and CEO, says the work is meant to reduce congestion and make the curb-to-cruise trip safer. The release also says the port welcomed its 10 millionth cruise passenger on 14 Sep 2026.
If you are sailing from Miami, match the terminal on your documents to the tunnel or the bridge before you leave the hotel. If you are on Carnival Celebration or Icon of the Seas and you want the airport shuttle, ask the line which dates are in the pilot. The county release does not list them.
