Liberty of the Seas is not using the same Southampton terminal for leave and return this weekend. Cruise Hive, dated 23 Sep 2026, quoted an ABParking email to guests with parking booked for the eight-night sailing that departs Friday 25 Sep 2026. You board at Horizon Cruise Terminal. You come back to City Cruise Terminal on Saturday 3 Oct 2026. No Royal Caribbean newsroom release was located. The load-bearing facts below come from that Tier 2 write-up of the parking operator email.

The ports on the cruise stay put. The split is about shore power and parking logistics, not a cancelled call.

What changed

Embarkation: Horizon Cruise Terminal on Friday 25 Sep 2026. ABParking says enter the port through Dock Gate 8 at the east end of Herbert Walker Avenue. Staff will direct drivers to the right lot. Porters will collect bags after you park.

Debarkation: City Cruise Terminal on Saturday 3 Oct 2026. Horizon and City sit about a quarter mile apart, per Cruise Hive. Guests walking back to parked cars have a short hop between the two.

Why: ABParking told guests the cruise line requested the arrangement so Liberty of the Seas can take shore power from the local grid while in port. That is the reason in the email Cruise Hive quoted. It is not framed as a weather or mechanical itinerary cut.

Accessible parking: Guests with Blue Badge / accessible parking get a complimentary shuttle that is also wheelchair- and mobility-scooter accessible between lot and terminal, per the same report.

Parking permit: Print it and display it clearly on arrival so gate traffic keeps moving.

Sailaway remains 5pm Friday. Cruise Hive reported no change to the published ports: Le Havre (Paris), Bilbao, La Coruña, Vigo, and Cherbourg, then Southampton return 3 Oct.

Boat Show traffic

Southampton International Boat Show runs 18–27 Sep 2026 at Mayflower Park and the adjacent marina, next to City Cruise Terminal. Cruise Hive flagged heavier traffic and possible road closures or delays near the cruise complex through that window. Friday 25 Sep embarkation sits inside that show period. Build extra drive time. Late to the terminal means you miss the ship.

What you should do

If you are on the 25 Sep 2026 Southampton departure, confirm Horizon for boarding and City for return in your latest documents and the Royal Caribbean app. Do not assume same-terminal parking pickup. Print the ABParking permit. Enter via Dock Gate 8. Budget Boat Show congestion on the way in. Keep hotel and transfer plans aligned with City Terminal for 3 Oct pickup. Facts above follow Cruise Hive on 23 Sep 2026 quoting ABParking’s guest email.
