Holland America's 80th Alaska season: six ships, a new Vancouver loop, 72 more Denali rooms

Holland America has set its 2027 Alaska season, its 80th in the state. The line’s release, dated 5 Oct 2026, puts six ships there from April through September 2027. It flags one cruise as new, brings back the 28-day Solstice voyage, and adds rooms at Denali.
The six ships
Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Westerdam, and Zaandam. They sail from Seattle, Vancouver, and Whittier.
The release does not match each ship to a port.
What is new or back
- New: an eight-day “Alaska Inside Passage” cruise, roundtrip from Vancouver. It visits Glacier Bay and calls at Skagway, Ketchikan, and Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The release does not name the ship or print dates.
- Back for a third year: the 28-day “Legendary Alaska Arctic Circle Solstice.” Noordam leaves Seattle on 6 Jun 2027, sails to the Bering Sea and into the Arctic Circle, and returns to Seattle.
- Great Bear Rainforest: a seven-day cruise on Noordam, and two sailings of an 18-day “Great Bear Rainforest & Alaska Explorer” on Zaandam.
Denali Lodge
If you book a Denali Cruisetour, this part touches your land nights. Holland America says the Denali Lodge renovations finish in 2027:
- Two new guest buildings replace older ones. Lodge capacity grows by 72 rooms.
- The Main Lodge interiors and public spaces get a redesign.
- The Grizzly Grind coffee shop gets a full renovation.
The release does not say which month the new rooms open.
The 80th anniversary part
The release promises new itineraries, exclusive celebrations, special culinary moments, and enrichment and entertainment for the anniversary. It names none of them. Treat that as a placeholder until the line publishes a list.
The same release looks back at 2026. Holland America says it gave more than $320,000 to groups in Anchorage, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Denali this season.

What this means for you
If the Solstice cruise is the one you want, 6 Jun 2027 on Noordam is the date to price. If you want a Vancouver roundtrip with Glacier Bay, ask for the new eight-day “Alaska Inside Passage” cruise by name. The release prints no fares and does not say what is already on sale. Check live dates on Holland America’s site or with your advisor before you hold a cabin.
