An earlier version of this page listed 2014. That year is wrong against Carnival's fact sheet, which lists 1999. This database still files the ship as Destiny class. Carnival's 2018 announcement said the renamed ship would join the Sunshine class. Those are two labels for one hull.
The fact sheet's shipyard field reads Cadiz, Spain. The 2018 announcement describes Cadiz as the dry-dock yard for the rename, starting 1 Mar 2019. Do not read that field as a claim about the original builder. Carnival's fact sheet does not name the original yard.
The ship page matches the fact sheet on tonnage, the 2,984 guest capacity, 1,108 crew, and a length of 893 feet.
This page uses those Carnival pages and the CDC green sheet. It does not describe a sailing we took.

The CDC Vessel Sanitation Program green sheet, checked 27 Sep 2026, lists Carnival Sunrise at 100 from an inspection on 12 Feb 2026. The sheet says scores of 85 or lower are not satisfactory. A score is one unannounced inspection. It is not a rating of every later sailing.
