Silversea held Silver Moon in Tokyo through Typhoon Dujuan. Guests boarded for the 14-night Japan cruise as planned. The ship stayed until about 9pm on Monday 21 Sep 2026 instead of leaving Saturday evening. Cruise News IO dated that report 22 Sep 2026. Nautical Flock published matching details on 20 Sep 2026. Cruise Hive carried an earlier version on 19 Sep 2026. All three are Tier 2. No Silversea newsroom release was located.

Hiroshima is gone. If you prepaid a Hiroshima tour through Silversea, treat it as cancelled.

What changed on the itinerary

Osaka drops from an overnight to a day call. New window: Wednesday 23 Sep 2026, 8am to 7pm.

Kochi moves from 23 Sep to Thursday 24 Sep 2026, still 8am to 4pm. Existing Kochi Silversea tours roll to the new date, per those outlets.

Miyako on 1 Oct 2026 runs slightly longer, to 6pm instead of 5pm.

Busan, Kanazawa, and Hakodate stay on the published clocks in the Nautical Flock and Cruise News IO write-ups.

Cruise length in nights is unchanged.

Tours and compensation

Silversea cancelled its own Hiroshima excursions and the original Osaka schedule tours. You can rebook Osaka tours for the new day call. Kochi reservations transfer automatically under the messaging those outlets described.

None of the three Tier 2 sources reported a published compensation package for the lost Hiroshima call or the shorter Osaka stay. Ask Guest Services onboard if you want a written answer.

What you should do

Use the Silversea app and your latest email as the clock for every remaining port. Drop independent Hiroshima plans. Rebook Osaka activities against 23 Sep. Confirm Kochi tours moved. Keep shore receipts if you later press for goodwill credit. Facts above follow Cruise News IO (22 Sep 2026), Nautical Flock (20 Sep 2026), and Cruise Hive (19 Sep 2026).
