Azamara put its longest 2029 World Cruise on sale. The line’s live product page and Late Cruise News on 23 Sep 2026 say bookings are open for a 195-night sailing on Azamara Quest from San Diego to Copenhagen, 3 Jan through 17 Jul 2029. Azamara’s own August newsroom tease had already locked the 23 Sep open date. Load-bearing product facts below follow Azamara’s Tier 1 page; the CEO quote and shorter-journey open date follow Late Cruise News’ 23 Sep write-up of the line announcement.

This is a booking announcement, not an itinerary cut. Nothing changes on a cruise you already hold unless you buy this one.

What is on sale now

Full journey, from Azamara and Late Cruise News:

  • Ship: Azamara Quest
  • Length: 195 nights
  • Dates: 3 Jan–17 Jul 2029
  • Route: San Diego to Copenhagen
  • Scope: five continents, 40 countries and territories, 126 ports including 12 maiden ports
  • Time ashore: Azamara says about 65% of the journey in port, with 16 overnight stays and 60 late nights
  • Events: Late Cruise News cites 15 complimentary AzAmazing Evenings on the full journey

Late Cruise News also says the route is designed as a circumnavigation with no repeat ports and that Azamara is calling it the longest World Cruise available in 2029.

Two shorter options open later

Not on sale yet. Late Cruise News and Azamara’s August newsroom both say these open 14 Oct 2026:

  • 179 nights, San Diego to London, 3 Jan–1 Jul 2029 (52 late nights, 16 overnights, 12 maiden ports)
  • 139 nights, Sydney to Copenhagen, 1 Mar–17 Jul 2029 (43 late nights, 11 overnights, four maiden ports)

Late Cruise News adds that 16 individual segments of seven to 20 nights open for booking in 2027 if you only want a slice.

Price and deposit reality check

Azamara’s live page lists full-cruise category fares in USD from Interior at $49,999 up through Panorama Suite at $244,399, with other suites and verandas in between. Those are published starting points. Taxes, fees, and availability change. Recheck azamara.com before you treat any number as locked.

Deposits on that same page:

  • $7,000 USD per person for Interior, Oceanview, Veranda, and Veranda Plus
  • $14,000 USD per person for suites
  • Second deposit $10,000 per cabin due 19 Feb 2027

Inclusions and early loyalty cuts

Azamara pitches more than $44,000 USD in World Cruise benefits for full-cruise guests, on top of Always Azamara dining, drinks, tips, and self-service laundry. The page itemizes pieces such as airfare credit, a one-night pre-cruise hotel, transfers, luggage-shipping reimbursement as OBC, $5,500 OBC per stateroom, $4,000 shore-excursion credit per stateroom, Starlink Essential Wi-Fi for two devices, a Premium Beverage Package for two, unlimited wash-and-fold laundry, and one onboard medical consultation. Read the current terms before you sell any single line item to your travel partners.

Loyalty first-to-book discounts on the full sailing run for the first 80 days of opening for sale (Azamara dates that window 22 Sep–13 Dec 2026): Adventurer 6%, Explorer 7%, Discoverer 8%, Discoverer Plus 9%, Discoverer Platinum 12%. Late Cruise News says the shorter journeys get a similar 6–12% loyalty cut for their first 60 days once those open 14 Oct.

Dondra Ritzenthaler, CEO of Azamara Cruises, quoted by Late Cruise News: “World travel is about more than simply checking destinations off a list. It’s about having the time to experience them… Our 2029 World Cruise was designed around that philosophy… We’re incredibly excited to open bookings.”
