Typhoon Saudel delays Spectrum of the Seas, next sailing cut short

The short answerTyphoon Saudel forced the Port of Shanghai to close, keeping Spectrum of the Seas at sea longer than scheduled. The 28 August sailing was extended and the following cruise shortened by one day. Compensation runs from $100 onboard credit plus $100 future cruise credit for interior and oceanview guests up to $250 of each for suites.

Weather disruption in the region is normal for this time of year. What is worth noting is that Royal Caribbean compensated the shortened sailing as well as the extended one, which does not always happen.
